We can help make the process of hiring migrant workers easier and as smooth as possible.

If you are a UK employer, and wish to hire migrant workers, you will need to hold a valid sponsor licence. This will enable you to recruit migrant workers for a specific job in an eligible skilled occupation. It is important to note that this also applies to EEA nationals who arrived in the United Kingdom after 31st December 2020.

As an employer, you will also need to have in place a robust HR system, which respects the UK immigration rules and can allow you to properly monitor migrant workers.

In addition to the above, the position that you would like to employ the migrant worker for also needs to be on the Home Office approved list and the salary must meet the minimum salary threshold. You can access the links below that could be helpful:

At Barar & Associates, we will help you through the process by completing the application for you, providing a detailed list of supporting documents needed for the application (tailored to your circumstances), and reviewing the supporting documents to ensure that they meet the immigration rules before you submit your application.

Once your application is granted, you will have access to your Sponsorship Management System, which will be your online sponsor licence account where you will manage your migrant workers’ details and sponsor’s details. Your licence will be valid for 4 years with the possibility to renew it.

You will have to nominate an authorising officer, the person responsible for the migrant workers, and a level 1 user, the person responsible for the management of the Sponsorship Management System. They can be the same person.

It is very important that you respect your responsibilities as a sponsor if you are granted a sponsor licence. If you do not, you can be subject to an unlimited fine and/or up to 5 years in prison. Barar & Associates also help with this, you can access more information here.

The UK immigration system have made it difficult for people to comply with the requirements needed for the process and the application. However, with our help and guidance, we are hoping to make this process easier and more convenient for you.
