British Citizenship (Naturalisation)

British Citizenships or naturalisation as it is often called, is an application for individuals who want to be naturalised as a British Citizen.

 

Naturalisation as a British Citizen

There are six forms of British Nationality: British Citizenship, British overseas citizenship, British overseas territories citizenship, British national (overseas), British protected person and British subject.

An individual may become a British Citizen by descent or other than by descent.

These are the general requirements to meet in order to apply for Naturalisation:

  1. You must be of a good character and of sound mind;
  2. You must intend to continue living in the United Kingdom;
  3. You must have a sufficient knowledge of the Life in the United Kingdom and English language (except children under 18).
  4. You must meet the residential requirements.
