Want to resettle in the UK: Apply for Long Residence Visa
Settlement may be granted under Long Residence, if you have lived lawfully in the United Kingdom for 10-years continuously. The Home Office will consider your application in light of the ties you have made in the United Kingdom throughout the aforementioned period. This is subject to you meeting all the other requisite requirements under the Immigration Rules.
A Long Residence application is also considered under Human Rights and you may be eligible for settlement under paragraph 276ADE of the Immigration Rules for claims based on your private life. This is applicable if you have been living in the United Kingdom for 20 years continuously, irrespective of whether you have done so unlawfully. However, you would still need to meet the other requisite requirements under the Immigration Rules.
