The absences must not exceed 539 days in total, for a period of not more than 6 months at any time.
The absences must not exceed 179 days in any consecutive 12-month period during the 5 years preceding the date of the application.
You first need to apply and obtain a Sponsorship Licence. This is not a straight-forward process as there are several criteria which need to be fulfilled and steps undertaken for example, the HR system must correspond with the Immigration Rules.

The application process when applying from inside the UK normally takes approximately 8 to 12 weeks.
The application process when applying from outside the UK normally takes approximately 2 to 4 weeks.
Yes, you can bring your family if you are exercising your Treaty rights (meaning, if you are a qualified person). They will need to apply for a Family Permit from outside the UK. The Family Permit is currently free of charge. However, please note that there are some requirements which need to be fulfil.
